At some point in yesterday’s Sox-Cardinals game, the local weather maven informed the masses that rain was in the forecast for later in the afternoon. I’m still unsure as to how we ever reached the point that the ensuing rain delay (3:03 minutes) would be almost as long as the game (3:12).

For 97.8% of the game the weather was ideal. With a couple fewer “natural” delays, they could have gotten this 10-inning gem in before the rains came.
