Every so often a story catches my eye and heading into the Winter meetings there are plenty of speculative stories at best. Writers and talkers with or without sources spin some pretty fancy yarns with little regard for the truth.

This story about Juan Sandoval and his journey is especially timely as there are myriad guys and gals getting coaching jobs in professional baseball who haven’t walked the walk. I started with “reportedly” because his job with the Brewers isn’t official yet.
