Since I wasn’t in a specific classroom today, I have no idea if teachers at my school recognized Veterans Day or explained the origins of Armistice Day.

I do know that communities across the country held Veterans’ breakfasts, memorials and other gatherings of remembrance. Even if it goes against company policy, I believe in Hug a veteran day while thanking him or her for their service.

Why other government (local) entities had the day off while we were in session, I have no idea.

Thanks to all those that served our country and are currently doing so. Excluding active service members is stupid and not very inclusive.
