As I’ve already stated the Cardinals gameday staff is top notch with the ushers going the extra mile. I’m also a big fan of their scorecard/program. At $3 it’s a relative bargain, but they could change the cover.
Without going too inside baseball on people, the squares are larger, and the pitcher grid is smaller, but there are enough spaces for the rare extra inning game. It’s much easier to score and giving each team their own sheet makes for a cleaner card.
While some teams like the Brewers have gone to a generic year long scorecard, I prefer the series specific card with current active rosters including entire coaching staffs with uniform numbers. I also appreciate that Cardinals wear BP shirts with their numbers on their sleeves.
As is the case with most ML ballparks, the underbelly concourse isn’t my favorite as you can only watch the game on TV’s. It’s also more difficult to circle the park in the stands. I’m sure they update and change concession stands and the sponsorships of various clubs and seating sections but I didn’t notice. I also love that former Cubs great Mitch Webster had a university named for him and that they are a big advertiser.
Without conducting a survey, I’d say that Ballpark Village has grown, in turn it seems like there are fewer dining options outside of the village and downtown. I know from past experience these ventures don’t draw as well during midweek, non-game days.
