My apologies to Laurence Tureaud for adding to his admonition, but far too many people have been squawking about Bill Belichick not making the HOF in the first ballot. The guy will get in, but more importantly he hasn’t lost any money due to the delay and he hasn’t lost his job at UNC. I’m not sure why anyone cares this much about the snub since he wouldn’t give the proverbial rat’s ass if any average Joe lost his or her job, was passed up for a promotion or any professional misfortune.
Early in the week heading up to the big game, I heard reports that betting on Seattle was the highest on one side in any Super Bowl in history. I have no idea if the trend held through to the kickoff, but I know several experts chose the Patriots and the 4,5 points or took the money line just because the general public was backing the Seahawks and they would not side with them. It’s one thing to not go with the chalk during the NCAA men’s tournament because you have to differentiate your brackets from those in your pool but choosing one side because the betting public chose the other is stupid. It looks like the rubes from Des Moines and Little Rock got this one right.
Back to pitchers, catchers, sugar and spice.
