Because the Twins-Red Sox game on FS1 was in a rain delay, Fox shifted to Marlins v. Athletics and boy did the Athletics botch one. I say this as if they were a favorite. Ha!

The A’s had a 6-4 lead going into the bottom of the 9th with one of the great closers in the game, Mason Miller, he of the 100+ mph fastball. The Marlins broadcasters-built up Miller the way Kerr would talk up a Bulls opponent at the free throw line. The guy would miss key free throws, and Johnny would think he had something to do with it.

So after talking up great Oakland closers and Miller’s unhittable fastball and slider, Miller pooped down the leg of his pants and surrendered a walk-off grand slam homer (after a hit batter, walk and hit) to Kyle Stowers. Did I mention this came with two outs?
