The other day, MLB announced their national TV schedule for the upcoming season. I’ve already forgotten what I read and not because the Cubs aren’t making 200 appearances. I’m worried that the Dodgers will be the featured team-which I expect after an historic victory over the Yankees. I am curious to see their recent addition, Roki Sasaki but would rather see him in person locally.
Since ESPN became the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry network a decade ago, I find myself watching fewer Sunday evening telecasts. I still prefer the radio version, but don’t need the Dodger hype. Furthermore, I’ll find it easier to root against the all-in Dodgers. Today’s news that they just signed Tanner Scott brings me back to the non-halcyon days of the Steinbrenner Era.
