Because the independent American Association entertained me during the 2020 COVID season, I still receive e-mail updates from the league. I’ve only been to a few games since 2020, but I still follow the league from afar. I’m usually scanning the rosters to see if I recognize any of the names.
Two weeks from now the American Association is holding their ASG in Kansas City, home of the T-Bones. While the AA is miles away from MLB, making an AS team is no less significant for these guys hoping for a shot at affiliated ball. At first glance, I recognized 3 former Cincinnati prospects, two of whom I featured. One plays in Chicago and the other in Cleburne, Texas and maybe I’ll get a chance to congratulate both personally.
