I’m loathe to admit that I haven’t done my usual deep dive into the upcoming ML season. It seems there was more movement in the offseason and I haven’t quite caught up with the new rosters.
Since I’m not throwing any of my money on any teams this year, I don’t feel the urge to go out on a limb yet. All that being said, I’m happy that the Dodgers and Padres are opening up tomorrow in South Korea. I also know that there will be very little local coverage of the contest unless Shohei hits 4 homers. As a friend mentioned the other day, this TV/MLB creation isn’t for fans like me. I’d be happy to see/read about the Reds and Pirates opening.
The NL West rivals went about their business very differently this winter. The Dodgers spent big on free agents and the Padres lost two stars, one in a trade and the other to free agency.
