It’s amazing that in a world where employers are supposedly looking to hire, they rely heavily on algorithms to sort through applications and deal with applicants. Yet, all of these joints continue to post openings. I think something is broke.

I’m also disappointed that people seem to have forgotten how to treat people. And it’s not a Covid thing either. Nobody has an excuse for not responding to other human beings. We have the impersonal voicemail, texts and emails which allow people to impersonally share bad news. It’s that goofy passive-aggressive thing. Ghosting is the easy answer to every unpleasant situation.

You can pretty much forget about the thank-you note.
