If you haven’t noticed, every village, community or town is celebrating some kind of days, weeks or weekend right now-all with the purpose of monetizing the beautiful summer weather.
Yesterday I stumbled upon a sidewalk sale, which for the uninformed, it the melding of brick-and-mortar stores and restaurants with outside vendors setting up shop on downtown streets. Other than the dining options, most of the vendors don’t have males in mind. Charitable operations and community programs set up tables and usually only have promotional material and the odd pen or koozie. Despite all their supposed expertise financial institutions do not hand out cash or their expertise free of charge.
You probably guessed that banks don’t hand out money either-despite having vaults stuffed with the stuff. They do however hand out salty popcorn. Our bank used to scoop out Homers ice cream, but not this warm summer day.
Salty stale popcorn v. ice cream?
