WAR or ASG home run derby, what is it good for? To further quote him, “Absolutely nothing!”
The White Sox lone all-star, Luis Robert Jr. launched a 382-foot homer during the derby on Monday, tweaked his calf muscle and was unavailable for the actual game last night.
The original plan was for Robert Jr to get in the game-in the outfield and get some at-bats to showcase his five tools. Instead, he got a thorn in his paw and there was no mouse to extract it. Good thing the Sox aren’t in a pennant chase right now.
