I’ve never hidden my appreciation for Clayton Kershaw admitting that I’ve overlooked some of his failings in the postseason. This article about how he’s participating in the ASG despite being on the IL.
When I am lucky enough to attend a game he’s starting I make sure to get there early enough to watch his pregame rituals. On the days he’s not pitching he engages the hometown fans and is involved in the game.
The first time I saw Clayton pitch was in 2007 when he was in the MWL with the Great Lakes Loons. The site was Pohlman Field in Beloit and I caught him before the game and lunch in the concourse. Somehow I was the only one that noticed him and he gave me a few minutes of his time (the notes are somewhere). Later that year, I caught up with him at the MWL ASG in Kane County. I’m not sure if he envisioned 10 more ASG’s, but he made the most of that one.
Several injured All-Stars will skip the game, but he’ll be there.

I like Clayton Kershaw too! I like him because he reaches so many milestones. Last year I tried sending a very short letter and a baseball card to Clayton Kershaw. I really wanted him to autograph the baseball card and return it back to me in the mail which I asked him politely to do in the letter but I never got anything back from him. I still like him as a player though. It would have been cool to have something autographed by him. If only there was another way to contact Clayton Kershaw!
