If you’ve caught the Cubs act since they returned from London, you’d think they came over on the Mayflower rather than a flight. While they’re not using jet lag as an excuse, it sure sounds like it.
I have no idea what the lines are for tonight’s game between the visiting Phillies and the Cubs, but I figure someone will be checking out the pitching matchup. Is it as simple as that? Aaron Nola sports a 4.38 ERA and the Cubs Drew Smyly checks in with a 3.38 ERA.
Both teams are imperfect to say the least, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be a typical Phillies-Cubs bash and Jared Young has just been recalled by the Cubs. I’m not sure why they’ve waited this long to bring him up and ship Miles Mastrobuoni back to Des Moines where the S is silent.

I think starting pitching is very important! The pitchers end up doing most of the work. Who is your favorite current starting pitcher?

Hey Sophia, always nice to hear from you. As a Cubs fan, be default I love all the current Cub starters. I love to watch Spencer Strider of the Braves, and Clayton Kershaw has always been among my favorite players despite being a Dodger. When healthy Brandon Woodruf of the Brewers is also fun to watch. Who are your current favorites?
Thanks for stopping by.
