The other day we lost one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Jim Brown was 87 years old when he passed away. He was one of the few professional athletes that walked away from the game while he was still on top. Off the top of my head, the only other guy I can think of is Barry Sanders.

His post-football career w as rich as he was an actor and activist. I got to meet him at a book signing 30+ years ago and he was one of the toughest hombres I ever met. He was also very engaging.

I’ll leave it to others to debate whether he was the best running back, football player or lacrosse player.
