I know if you are a White Sox fan it’s way too early to write off the 2023 season because the AL Central is the worst in baseball. Have you heard that one yet? I have 2,176 times and I don’t “follow” the Sox.

What should worry Sox fans is the lack of a quality minor league system. I haven’t heard or read spit about any young arms (or bats) in the system beating down the doors. Conversely, all of Cleveland’s pitching prospects appear to be ready for the big time. The ML squad isn’t overachieving right now so that might provide some hope for Sox and Twins fans.

When your team is only 7-18 and you’re trying to come up with solutions, zooming out to look at the bigger picture is often as discouraging. One young friend mentioned jumping ship and boarding the S.S Brewer.

Everyone is quick to point out how the Phillies turned it all around, but I think the Sox should look at the 2022 Tigers and Royals-who did not turn it around.
