Fifty years ago the Oakland A’s won their second of three (straight) WS rings against the Yogi Berra led the Mets. The A’s did a nice job of honoring that team before the finale against the Mets.
The Mets spoiled the reunion with a sweep of the hapless 2023 A’s. I don’t know if the older Met fans feel vindicated by this little victory.
