If you’ve been paying attention to the WBC at all, you know tonight is the big magilla, the winner takes all between Japan and the US. I know that the WBC isn’t everyone’s thing, but the last few games have been exciting. The fans in attendance, and the players are certainly enjoying themselves.

He hasn’t played a meaningful game with the Angels in almost a decade. Everyone is hoping his teammate, Shohei Ohtani will continue to live up to his star-billing, but the fate of the US team may be in the hands of Merrill Kelly. Kelly is the 34-year-old pitcher starting for the US tonight. Likely, you’ve never heard of the Diamondback, but you’ll get to hear all about him during the broadcast. He had a breakout season for Arizona in 2022, but hasn’t been on anyone’s radar outside of the Kelly family. Games like these have the power to really enhance a player’s career.
