After only a handful of spring games, everybody’s got answers even if nobody is asking questions. Most of the experts are sitting at home, watching the occasional broadcast from the safety of their den.

Those writers and broadcasters tasked with rating a team’s success take advantage of access and inside connections. I haven’t heard many discouraging words from any fans. Everything is coming up roses for everyone right now. It’s harder to pick a champion when everyone is a winner.

I realize sports editors daily updates and predictions from their top writers, but being forced to crank out droll accounts this early in the spring. Likewise, not being 100% behind all of the new rule changes is akin to saying you don’t like Chevrolet, apple pie in the good old USA. I’ve actually spoken with fans that aren’t as crazy about the pitch clock as the media has led us to believe.
