Forget about the lobster rolls, boils, pizzas, strudels, and donuts, I’m heading to Portland for Sea Dogs baseball. I’ve always thought it would be fun to hit both Portland’s in one season for minor league baseball, but after reading about the Burke’s and the culture they’ve instilled, Maine is my first choice.
As is noted in the linked article, other ownership groups have done the same thing when selling to larger corporate groups, but it sounds like the sister and brother were a little different.

Great gesture. Let’s hope that the new regime is half as generous and thoughtful. I am always skeptical when new people take over, especially when they take over from a gracious management team.

I’m placing my faith in the folks that work there and not Diamond Group.
