Incentives…

For some people, money is no object, but for others saving a buck-regardless of personal wealth-is an art. As is the aim of the blog, I try and find ways to combine multiple interests of mine. I think of it as economy of scale on steroids.

Accordingly, I’m open to saving a few bucks when possible and that includes tickets for baseball games. Sometimes, saving the cost of a beer is incentive enough for seeking out discounted tickets. For years, one could get 1/2 tickets for every Beloit, Sunday afternoon game-all you had to do was find a current copy of the Stateline newspaper.

If the cost of a minor league ticket is too pricey, you can usually find a deal with a little work. If your schedule is flexible, you can make it worth the effort. The same goes for most ML teams. However, you have to figure in visiting teams and overall interest (demand/supply).

As a service to you, the loyal reader, I scoured every ML team’s site for their promotional deals. With a little work, you can find out when teams schedule their discounted tickets. I found the unique promotions that might make a visit worthwhile. Some teams will never promote their promotions whereas the Reds and Brewers are notorious for great come-ons for their fans.

Many teams like the Pirates have theme nights throughout the season, like t-shirt nights, dog days, hot dog discount days, 1/2 price senior/kids days. If you’re traveling with your favorite team, check the home teams’ site for nifty deals or fun gimmicks
