Nobody is immune to death and taxes, and it’s always tough to read about the passing of one that’s given so much to a particular community. In Blaise DiNardo’s case and his relationship with the city of Rochester and the Red Wings, 60 years is awesome.
As baseball fans we think of the impact that players and managers have on us. While not a star or celebrity. it’s folks like Mr. DiNardi that have an impact outside of the ballpark. In an era where people move between jobs and organizations as easily as they stream a movie on Netflix, this type of loyalty is refreshing.
