Hidden gems?

Unless you’re related to one of the many unsigned free agents, you probably aren’t too concerned with their future. Maybe the team you pull for still has some holes to fill and you’re trying to figure out who is left on the market or who could be had in a trade.

I admit to being surprised that the Reds signed OF-1B, Wil Myers to a one-year deal. He might hit a few more homers in the hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark, but I don’t think he’ll extricate the Reds from the NL Central.

With Justin Turner and J.D Martinez switching homes, I think three of the more interesting available players are Eric Hosmer, Johnny Cueto, and Adam Duvall. Hosmer to the Cubs has gained a little traction locally, but I don’t really know who their sources are and seeing as how this person whiffed on the Swanson news…

Fan speculation as to who would best fill holes in lineups makes for a fun offseason. Every once in a while, an average Joe can come up with an interesting solution. Several teams would benefit from signing any of these players.
